Fight Against Coronavirus

Fight Against Coronavirus

To our Oh Do Kwon Tae Kwon DoTazewell Tae Kwon Do Family,

As part of the principles imparted to us by Grandmaster Roy Richmond, I wanted to find a unique way to be a part of the solution during these times that are surely testing us all. To that end, I have temporarily transformed this into an essential business providing 100% cloth face masks since the first stay-at-home orders came down. Many of our masks were donated and sold to essential workers from the very beginning.

Cloth Face Mask - Black / Red Chinese Calligraphy - Oh Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do - Tazewell Tae Kwon Do - Grandmaster Roy RichmondNeedless to say, this endeavor has kept us here at Oh Do Kwon Tae Kwon Do & Self-Defense focused on prevention efforts and making the most use of our time under stay-at-home and quarantine orders.  This shift has helped us keep all of our competitors, students, customer, friends and family as safe as possible.

I am most proud of being able to distribute masks in our community to the elderly and those with compromised immunity who had to complete essential tasks without a face covering.  A portion of all masks that we make go to our local community to fight against COVID-19 aka Coronavirus.

While many of us have been challenged with hardship and monetary concerns, supporting the production of our face masks along with our charitable giving, you are making a difference in our community. I would like to believe that our contribution will help our participants of the 2020 Grandmaster Roy Richmond Legacy Tournament, students and customers feel good in supporting us knowing how we are helping our local community during this time.

As we face these trying circumstances as a community, I affirm that we come together to help each other in the most effective way to uplift and protect our most vulnerable, our most strong, and ourselves as a collective.

All the best!
Keshia Richmond

This is a great way to help in a very difficult time! So glad to see that you put an emphasis on the elderly and immunocompromised in your area! Your community will appreciate that for a long time to come!

Just love what you are doing here in supporting the community during this worrying time. If more people followed your lead in helping those frontline workers and those who are particularly vulnerable to COVID 19, things would certainly be a lot better for many.

It is a good thing to do as more and more people need these cotton face masks as they have to venture out.
